Iceland

Siglufjörður is a small fishing town, north of Iceland, in a narrow fjord with the same name on the northern coast of Iceland.

With fjords, mountains, tundra, waterfalls, lakes, volcanoes, northern lights and so much more to Discovery.

The area is vast and largely unexplored. The terrain has a lot of different options, from steep couloirs to easy and moderate slopes.

Our days will be spent touring the mountains of the area and in the evenings we will check if the northern lights are out. The possibilities for skiing here are endless, and every day there are new summits, valleys and open slopes for our ski touring adventure. We will keep the daily difficulty as moderate with 800 m ascents, but offer optional ski touring possibilities for those who like more skiing.

Prepare for different skiing conditions; fresh powder skiing, skiing in the stable spring corn snow, which is perfect for steep skiing and more exposed lines than you normally find where avalanches are more likely. 700/1300m vertical drop. in the unbelievable Arctic mountains.

• 8 days trip (6 skitouring days).


• Alpine ski touring: 3 -7 hours per day.


• Elevation: 0 -1200 meters.


• Maximum accumulated ascent: 800 - 1200 m.

Program of the trip

Day 1:

• We´ll arrive to Reikiavik International airport, transport vehicule will be redy in the airport. From there doing some tourism through the N/W part of Iceland will drive to Siglufjord in 5 h.

Day 2 to 6:

• Plenty of diferent skitouring options around this area, depending the condition we´ll chose the best options, aspects, … 3h to 8h activities.

Day 7:

• we´ll drive back to Reikiavik and expend the night there.

Day 8:

• Reikiavik to the Airport (30mins). Flight to back home.
